Dr. Craton has practiced medicine for over 36 years. He received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Manitoba, and his Sports Medicine Fellowship and Master’s Degree in Human Kinetics were completed at the University of British Columbia.
He has served as the Director of the University of Manitoba Musculoskeletal Fellowship since it’s inception in 1996, and is the Director of the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Medicine Enhanced Skills Program in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the Legacy Site. Dr. Craton is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Medicine and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Winnipeg, Gupta School of Kinesiology and Applied Health.
He has served as Team Physician for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers since 1996 and the National Women’s Volleyball Team from 1992-2017.
Dr. Craton has authored several books chapters and peer reviewed publications, most recently on the sociological phenomenon of concussion.
